OUR FAUX FUR
At THE faux MAGAZINE, our mission is to elevate faux fur beyond imitation and transform it into a luxury material of its own. Through months of innovation and precision, we developed our proprietary hair-strand technology, allowing us to create exceptionally fine, refined faux hairs designed to capture the depth, softness and natural movement associated with real fur.
Unlike conventional faux fur, which can appear flat, overly shiny or synthetic, our fabrics are developed with a focus on texture, dimension and touch. Our faux furs are crafted using premium OEKO-TEX® certified nylon, selected for its exceptional softness and ability to create an incredibly refined finish.
Our strands are produced exclusively for us, giving us control over everything from thickness and density to movement and tone. We incorporate recycled materials and layer multidimensional shades to recreate the natural variation found within an animal's coat.
We study the beauty of animals to recreate their fur, without ever taking it from them.
But our craftsmanship goes far beyond the surface.
Every coat is carefully constructed and finished by hand. Inside, a silk and cotton-blend lining creates a level of finish rarely associated with faux fur, while a lightweight thermal layer adds insulation and structure.
The result is something we never wanted to call simply an "alternative."
It is fur reimagined.
OUR FAUX LEATHER
Our approach to leather begins with the same philosophy: recreate what people love about the material without requiring an animal's skin.
We focus on the characteristics that have made leather synonymous with luxury for generations - its hand-feel, structure, richness, flexibility and the way a beautifully made piece sits and moves.
Our alternative leathers are selected and developed to achieve a supple, substantial and elevated finish, moving beyond the thin, plastic-like feel traditionally associated with faux leather.
Just as with our fur, the material is only the beginning. Construction, stitching, hardware, lining, structure and finishing are treated as integral parts of the piece. Every detail is considered to create something designed to feel luxurious in its own right - not simply luxurious "for an alternative."
